Porterbrook Launch Day

Porterbrook NC launched on January 29th with tremendous success and momentum.

I would like to give a special thank you to Lachlan Payne, our Plant NC Network Coordinator, and to Fellowship Raleigh for allowing us to host this event. We currently have 40 participants in this theological training program, and we are hoping for a second wave to join us over the next couple of weeks. Participants came from all over the state, ranging from the NC coast to the foothills, as well as a handful attending from Virginia. There was also a wide range of experience and training: seminary trained, non-seminary trained, lead pastors, church staff, ministry leaders, future leaders, married couples, and missional thinkers.

The introduction day helped the participants to gain a better understanding of the vision for Porterbrook and how this tool will help them to become stronger missional thinkers and practioners as they take the gospel into their context. This tool will help them to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ who better understand what it means to live a gospel-centered life, and the implications that has upon our lives. Also, this tool will assist in strengthening churches across our state and beyond.

I want to encourage those participating to help us by spreading the word and encouraging many other churches, pastors, ministry leaders, and missional thinkers to join Porterbrook NC. It is not too late to jump in and benefit from this amazing discipleship tool. I look forward to seeing how God is going to use this to further advance His Kingdom as Jesus builds His church.
